After several months of lab work, we finally moved our CarbonVIX test bed out of the lab into the parking lot for some operational testing. To date, we have spent the bulk of our time working on individual components. Thursday and Friday of this week we made real progress operating a “system”.
We are now able to demonstrate the coordinated functionality of several technologies and they are solar power, energy storage, broadband Ethernet radio, and IP connectivity with various communication and control devices.
We believe the technology we are developing can be used for remote applications of communications and control systems. It could also be used to improve the availability of existing communication systems.
More information and photos to follow next week…stay tuned!
